Integration of Industrial and Urban Symbiosis from a Renewable Energy Perspective

As the population continues to grow so do cities that are key locations responsible for pollution and resource consumption. This has led sustainability challenges such as climate change scarcity. One method of tackling these is through use symbiosis systems, be it Industrial Symbiosis (IS), Urban (US), or Urban-Industrial (UIS), create symbiotic relationships between groups/ organisations reuse many resources possible. These systems also utilized because can bring economic, environmental, social benefits involved organisations. why governments, private organisations, etc. encouraging development adoption systems. situation academics study there currently a large body literature rapidly growing. However, mostly focuses on IS material lacks knowledge UIS latter only recently become popular possibilities energy symbiosis. research aims enrich understanding further explore will done via conceptual model help consolidate information both from industry literature.
